Nouveau boîtier US en carbone moulé
Les Glide V3 sont équipées de notre nouveau boîtier US en carbone moulé, développé en interne par Takoon. Grâce à leur rigidité incomparable, ces nouveaux boitiers apportent une connexion au foil inégalée, une parfaite transmission des efforts et un feeling sans pareil.
Nos nouveaux box de foil sont fabriquées en carbone préimprégné, polymérisé à haute pression et haute température dans un moule en acier. Ce processus permet d’obtenir un boîtier avec des fibres longues de carbone bien compactés, ce qui le rend tout simplement indestructible et ultra rigide.
Grâce à cette construction, si l’on compare nos boitiers carbone aux boitiers classiques comme les Futures, le gain de rigidité et de robustesse est considérable. En effet, généralement fabriqués en plastique injecté chargé avec de la fibre de verre en fibres courtes, les boitiers classiques peuvent présenter de la déformation à l’effort. Sur l’eau, cela se ressent sous forme d’un temps de latence dans la réactivité du foil, que ce soit pour le pumping, pour carver, ou pour les manœuvres. Avec nos nouveaux boîtiers carbone, la transmission des efforts est instantanée et la connexion est ultra rigide.
Plus longs, ces nouveaux boitiers donnent beaucoup plus de liberté de placement de votre foil. Ils viennent en 2 tailles: 33 cm et 38 cm en fonction de la taille de la planche. Ils sont ainsi plus longs de 6 cm et 11 cm que les boîtiers futurs. Ainsi, vous pourrez affiner vos réglages, afin de trouver la position personnelle qui vous convient le plus.
Ils bénéficient aussi d’une double ouverture par rails pour un montage plus rapide : plus besoin de démonter entièrement vos boulons de la platine, il suffit simplement de desserrer les vis, de faire glisser le foil dans les ouvertures et de resserrer les vis et hop, le tour est joué.

For the practice of wingfoil, the X-Glide V2 foil will be your ally in all conditions, but be careful to choose a wing surface adapted to the strength of the wind and your size. Depending on whether you want a single wing or a combo, select from our table those best suited to your weight and the wind conditions encountered.
The 1250cm² wing is recommended for medium to strong winds for smaller builds and up to 85kg, it will allow you to go in search of speed while keeping the healthy navigation of the X-Glide V2.
The 1450cm² wing is the ideal wing for all conditions for a rider under 60kg and up to 70kg. It will also suit a foiler of 70-85kg for medium to strong wind. It presents a great compromise between lift and speed.
The 1750cm² wing is the most versatile of the X-Glide V2 foil. It ensures riders of -70kg to take off easily in light winds, while foilers from 70 to 95kg can use it as a single wing. The 1750cm² wing can also be part of an ideal combo for a +95kg rider sailing in medium to strong winds.
The 1950cm² wing, due to its large bearing surface, is reserved for the heaviest riders of +95kg or to push the limits of the low range in extremely light winds for riders from 85kg.
For the pumping foil, it will be necessary to privilege the 1450 for the templates of less than 60kg, the 1700 for the riders of 60 to 85kg and the 1950 for those which weigh more than 85kg.
In summary, the lighter you are, the more you will go on a small foil wing area, and vice versa. In addition to taking into account the force of the wind, because it is this which will dictate your average speed which generates the lift necessary to make you fly: for the light, you have to leave on a fairly large wing, while the surface may be reduced under more sustained conditions. Keep these two parameters in mind when choosing your single wing or combo.

The wings of the X-Glide V2 foil have a moderate aspect-ratio with a value of 7.2, which is the ideal shape for beginners and intermediate riders looking for easy and high-performance wings at the same time.
Accessible and stable, the X-Glide V2 wings are designed to learn how to foil while offering you great potential for progression. Carrying, these wings promise you an easy and progressive take-off, very gently. At the same time, the X-Glide V2 wings benefit from a new profile and a thinner thickness to promote gliding. The X-Glide V2 also allows you to reach very good speeds effortlessly and benefit from a better glide. In terms of maneuverability, its new outline will allow you to easily draw your most beautiful curves, while its compactness thanks to the mid-aspect ratio will ensure simple transitions. Our X-Glide V2 wings and stabs are made of extremely stiff and strong prepreg carbon.
The X-Glide V2 foil benefits from our new 85cm Takoon Alu V2 mast, the most versatile mast height for beginners and progressing on all bodies of water. New profile, new thickness: the hydrodynamics of this Alu V2 mast has been optimized to offer pure and simple gliding, with limited drag. Rigid, it promises an excellent rider/foil connection, all in control and precision, for the most direct sensations possible. Solid and durable, this mast has been designed for fixing with M8 screws which facilitate and offer effective and flawless tightening.
On this mast is mounted the Top Plate delivered with the foil X-Glide V2. It is quite simply a standard 4-screw plate on the foil market. It makes the foil compatible with all boards equipped with the Twin-Tracks system (double rail US box). The spacing used for the 4 screws is 160x90mm.
With the X-Glide V2 foil, you will also find the Mat Aluminum V2 connector. It is an assembly part between the mast and the fuselage which makes it possible to obtain the rigidity of a one-piece mast while offering a removable system.
On the side of the Fuselage V2, it has a conical interlocking system in hexagon, which allows, thanks to its multiple facets, to offer a connection and a perfect transmission of forces, without play and at 360°, between the wing and fuselage. Thanks to high-precision machining, the V2 fuselage ensures a maximum load distribution area, which allows a solid junction where control and precision of movement in all axes are the key words.
The wing/fuselage is fixed using 4 M6 screws which secure the assembly, while allowing easy and quick assembly/disassembly. The use of helicoils in the fuselage ensures less maintenance and good repairability, and also makes it possible to avoid tearing of the thread in the event of excessive tightening. Tef Gel, sold as an option, is strongly recommended on all screws to avoid the risk of corrosion.

Everything will be delivered to you in a transport bag specially designed to carefully store all the elements of your foil. Its clever design allows flexible storage for your entire quiver. This bag contains three padded compartments which can contain either three front wings, or two front wings plus a mast, its plate, the fuselage and the mast/fuselage connector. The X-Glide V2 foil bag also offers two small specific pockets for the stabs and a final one for hardware.
This bag measures 125cm long x 30cm high and 18cm thick. All X-Glide V2 front fenders, regardless of size, can fit in this bag. All your quiver becomes transportable with one hand! The X-Glide V2 carry bag has been constructed with quality materials to provide you with maximum durability and comfort. The foams, 10mm thick, are present on all the internal and external walls of the bag, for optimal protection of your gear.
Modularity
Change the wings, keep the rest!
