Nouveau boîtier US en carbone moulé
Les Glide V3 sont équipées de notre nouveau boîtier US en carbone moulé, développé en interne par Takoon. Grâce à leur rigidité incomparable, ces nouveaux boitiers apportent une connexion au foil inégalée, une parfaite transmission des efforts et un feeling sans pareil.
Nos nouveaux box de foil sont fabriquées en carbone préimprégné, polymérisé à haute pression et haute température dans un moule en acier. Ce processus permet d’obtenir un boîtier avec des fibres longues de carbone bien compactés, ce qui le rend tout simplement indestructible et ultra rigide.
Grâce à cette construction, si l’on compare nos boitiers carbone aux boitiers classiques comme les Futures, le gain de rigidité et de robustesse est considérable. En effet, généralement fabriqués en plastique injecté chargé avec de la fibre de verre en fibres courtes, les boitiers classiques peuvent présenter de la déformation à l’effort. Sur l’eau, cela se ressent sous forme d’un temps de latence dans la réactivité du foil, que ce soit pour le pumping, pour carver, ou pour les manœuvres. Avec nos nouveaux boîtiers carbone, la transmission des efforts est instantanée et la connexion est ultra rigide.
Plus longs, ces nouveaux boitiers donnent beaucoup plus de liberté de placement de votre foil. Ils viennent en 2 tailles: 33 cm et 38 cm en fonction de la taille de la planche. Ils sont ainsi plus longs de 6 cm et 11 cm que les boîtiers futurs. Ainsi, vous pourrez affiner vos réglages, afin de trouver la position personnelle qui vous convient le plus.
Ils bénéficient aussi d’une double ouverture par rails pour un montage plus rapide : plus besoin de démonter entièrement vos boulons de la platine, il suffit simplement de desserrer les vis, de faire glisser le foil dans les ouvertures et de resserrer les vis et hop, le tour est joué.

Choosing Your Handles
The Wing VX Pro is designed to accommodate not only the original soft textile handles but also the rigid carbon handles and carbon wishbone. The wings come standard with soft textile handles, which offer the best balance of versatility for riders of all levels and ages. However, this adaptability allows you to switch according to your practice and preferences.
If you want to use handles or carbon wishbones, there is no need to buy them for each wing. Swapping your handles is very quick and will take no more than 2 minutes. We have optimized the placement of our handles, and there are now only two sizes of wishbones on this VX Pro.
Soft Textile Handles: Soft textile handles strike an excellent balance between flexibility and rigidity. They provide comfortable handling of the wing, absorbing gusts smoothly. They help prevent impacts between rigid handles or the wishbone and the board, which could damage either component. For these reasons, we recommend these handles for freeride, beginners, those learning maneuvers, or individuals prone to tendinitis.
Rigid Carbon Handles: Rigid carbon handles offer direct control of the wing during maneuvers and jumps, providing a more precise feel and better feedback in your hands. They remain compact enough to fit in your bag, making them a great compromise between soft handles and the wishbone. The forward handle with an angled design ensures an ergonomic grip without straining the wrist, reducing the risk of tendinopathy, and allows a "pistol" grip for freefly. We recommend these handles for those who already master basic maneuvers (jibe, tack, etc.) and wish to refine their technique, or for freestyle and freerace.
Carbon Boom: Extremely lightweight carbon booms allow intuitive hand placement while providing increased rigidity to the central strut. For the most daring freestylers performing one-handed maneuvers, racers looking for precise adjustments, or windsurfing enthusiasts even in freeride, the wishbone will meet all needs without compromising weight. Just ensure you have a dedicated bag for storage.

Optimized dihedral angle, profile, and leading edge
The VX wing is equipped with carefully designed dihedral angle and profile, ensuring acceleration, stability, and control in all conditions. However, the central sections of the leading edge retain a significant diameter to guarantee excellent rigidity. This rigidity enables the full exploitation of the wing's power, while providing expert riders with maximum efficiency and control.
Thin Wingtips
The VX wing features slim wingtips that minimize drag and promote acceleration. During gusts, these thin wingtips allow the wing to breathe by deforming, thereby improving stability, maneuverability, and comfort in all conditions.
Canopy
Made from two types of durable sailcloth, the VX Pro is designed to withstand the demands and stresses of high-level wingfoiling. The panels closest to the leading edge, which are less prone to deformation, are made from lightweight sailcloth, while the central and trailing edge panels are constructed from a heavier, more robust sailcloth. This combination ensures optimal shape retention for consistent performance, even after extended use.
Materials
The structure of the VX Pro, including the leading edge and central strut, is constructed from UPE Project 85. This composite material features an aramid fiber structure sandwiched between an 85g/m² unsaturated polyester (UPE) fabric and a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film, which provides some degree of waterproofing. The UPE Clear Project 85 is extremely rigid, allowing for a significant reduction in the size of the bladders—by about 5% to 10%, depending on the sections of the leading edge. This means that both the structure and the TPU bladders use 5% to 10% less material, which translates into a reduction in the overall weight of the wing. Strong and durable, UPE Clear Project 85 will withstand the test of time and your most challenging tricks.
For the canopee, the panels closest to the leading edge are made from 54g/m² Triple Ripstop, a lightweight and rigid material. Three large-diameter fibers reinforce the fabric at regular intervals and in two axes at 90°, creating a mesh that stops tears, prevents them from spreading, and helps maintain the sail's shape.
The central and trailing edge panels are made from a heavier and more robust sail material. We use Heavy Double Ripstop Canopy at 85g/m², which ensures optimal shape retention for consistent performance even after extended use.
Our bladders are made from thick 80-micron TPU for increased durability. The bladders and all accessories are heat-sealed to withstand high pressures.
Interchangeable handles
Soft handles, rigid handles, or a wishbone? With the VX Pro, you can choose all three! Thanks to our new interchangeable system, you can now customize your wing according to your preferences or daily needs. The VX Pro comes standard with soft handles, but you can optionally order rigid handles and a wishbone.
Central strut design
To optimize material tension, the shape of the central strut on the VX Pro has been slightly revised compared to the VX. Still in an S-shape, it minimizes drag while enhancing ergonomics. This design positions the rear handle further back, allowing the rider a more natural trim position without excessive and uncomfortable bending of the rear arm.
Tension spreader
The Tension Spreader is a reinforcement made of monofilm that helps to stiffen the sail's tack point. This reinforcement better manages tensions in the canopy and along the trailing edge, ensuring optimal performance and increased durability of the wing.

New inflation valve
The inflation valve on the VX Pro, of the SUP type, allows for easy attachment of the pump and faster deflation. This valve provides a highly accurate pressure reading on the pump, resulting in more precise inflation. If you have a pump for the older Takoon valves, don’t worry! An adapter for your pump to fit this new valve is included with the wing.
One pump system
To spend more time on the water rather than setting up your gear, we've kept our One Pump inflation system. This system allows you to inflate your wing, leading edge, and central strut all at once, using just one valve, making the process easier and faster.
The VX Pro wing is a wing that can be inflated to a relatively high pressure, thanks to the use of Dimension-Polyant's UPE Project 85 material. We recommend inflating it to a maximum of 10 PSI. However, you can adjust the inflation pressure of this wing based on your preferences. By reducing the pressure, the VX Pro will be slightly more flexible, more forgiving in gusts, and provide a bit more comfort, while still being stiffer than a "classic" wing made of dacron.
Neoprene under the freefly handle
Under the freefly handle on the leading edge, you'll find a neoprene patch designed to enhance your comfort while surfing. Soft to the touch, this neoprene helps prevent snags and irritation on your knuckles during all your wing handling, especially in freefly.
Bag
Our VX Pro wing comes with its own storage bag. Conveniently designed, it opens wide to allow for easy packing of your wing. It also features straps to carry your pump and includes a storage pocket for your accessories or repair kit.
Boom Bag
If you choose the VX Pro with a boom, a larger bag, designed to store the wing with the boom attached, is available as an option.
