Nouveau boîtier US en carbone moulé

Presentation

The infinite glide of the Escape, combined with the practicality of the inflatable.

The Escape Air is the inflatable version of our Takoon Escape. It's a great weapon for ultra-light winds in Wing foil and for downwinds. We know that shapes dedicated to downwind are incredibly efficient: their glide is incomparable, their take-off easy, and their low wind range pushes all limits.

Transporting and storing a rather thick, but above all, 7-foot-long rigid board is immediately more constraining. That's why we designed the Escape Air; it fits into a bag and inflates in 2 minutes. The inflatable technology allows you to store your folded board in its suitcase, in a corner of a closet, and to transport it wherever you can imagine: by car, plane, or train. With the Escape Air, it's possible! Also, in the hold of an airplane, you can travel stress-free for your board; it's risk-free. Moreover, the board comes with its transport backpack.

Weight:

  • 6'6: 5.25 kg
  • 7'2: 5.7 kg
  • 7'10: 6.05 kg
  • 8'0: 6.25 kg

The inflatable technology of our Escape Air also allows for a compromise between performance and price. Designed with the best materials, such as the densest and highest-quality Woven Dropstitch reinforced. Produced in one of the best factories in the world, we are confident that the bonds of our product will last for years without any leaks or deformation.

We are proud to be the first to offer carbon stringers on the deck and hull of an inflatable Wingfoil board. This innovation will provide you with unparalleled rigidity in the market.

With our 100% carbon pre-preg plate to support the foil, the Escape Air is a durable and rigid inflatable board. This rigidity, combined with its shape, allows it to have exceptional glide for really fast take-offs. And all this at the affordable price of inflatable boards.

Beyond this inflatable construction, with the Escape Air, you will find (re)discover everything that made our Escape successful. No need to over-tack to take off in light winds; in fact, you can even downsize your foil and take off with the same ease. Its very elongated and thin shape indeed optimizes glide and reduces drag, and its nose rocker brings a forgiving aspect.

In flight, the Escape Air will offer you a smooth, efficient, and sensational navigation experience."

The Escape Air is designed for experienced riders looking for a wingfoil board that's light, easy to transport, and store. It's specially tailored for riders who already have some mastery of flying and want to push the limits of low wind conditions. In wing foiling, the Escape Air offers appreciable ease of use, thanks to its generous volume and elongated shape.

However, in SUP foiling with paddling, it becomes more technical, especially in choppy waters and true downwind conditions. Therefore, a good level of practice is necessary to fully enjoy its performance in these more demanding conditions.

Our Escape Air board is available in 4 sizes, from 6'6 to 8'0, to accommodate riders of all sizes. To choose your Escape, we recommend a board with approximately 30L more volume than your weight. With this volume, you'll have a board that suits your size, playful and responsive. But beware! Maintaining balance on your knees in choppy waters will require some skill. If you opt for larger volumes, the board will be more accessible.

For those accustomed to downwind shapes, keep in mind that an inflatable board is always slightly more unstable in buoyancy than a rigid board of the same dimensions. Take this into account when making your choice.

Construction

The Escape Air is constructed with reinforced woven dropstitch, ensuring rigidity and maintaining the shape. This technology, widely used in the leisure nautical industry such as inflatable stand-up paddleboards, offers uncompromising construction in terms of rigidity, durability, and performance.

As the Escape Air is a board of considerable length, we have added carbon stringers as reinforcement on the deck and hull. These stringers play a key role in the board's rigidity: and a rigid board means efficiency in take-off and in transmitting efforts to the foil! Additionally, to prevent damage from falls and getting back on the board, the rails are reinforced with a double layer of PVC. In summary, resistant, sturdy, and repairable, the Escape Air withstands impacts well and rarely gets damaged.

Boîtiers avec double ouverture

Our boxes feature a dual-rail opening system for quicker mounting: no need to completely remove the bolts from the plate. Simply loosen the screws, slide the foil into the openings, and tighten the screws again—it's that easy! Less assembly time means more time on the water!

Shape

The shape and outline of our Escape Air are inspired by race SUP boards: long, narrow, and voluminous, to provide you with unmatched glide and quick take-offs. The pointed nose, with a slight rocker, gives the board excellent tolerance on touchdowns and prevents nose diving. The pin tail, on the other hand, gives the Escape Air speed and maneuverability due to reduced drag, allowing you to fly ahead of everyone else.

Rigidity

The Escape Air is inflatable, yes, but also rigid! Indeed, thanks to the reinforced woven dropstitch combined with the pre-impregnated carbon plate on the hull, the Escape Air offers a great sensation of rigidity under the rider's feet and responsive steering.

Carbon Plate

It is on this carbon plate that the foil attaches to the Escape Air. It is equipped with a long Double Rails US Box which allows you to finely adjust your foil to find its ideal position, according to your size, your riding comfort, and the conditions. This box also benefits from a double rail opening for quicker assembly. The carbon plate also includes an integrated carrying handle, allowing you to carry your board and its foil with just one hand, leaving the other free for your paddle or wing.

Equipment

Bag

The Escape Air comes with a dual-action pump and its own transport backpack. Sturdy and equipped with a large pocket, it will follow you on all your adventures, from your local spot to the other side of the world.

Inflation valve

The Escape Air features a SUP-style inflation valve, which promises easy use and quick deflation. This valve allows for reliable pressure reading and precise inflation. Universal in the stand-up paddle world, you can even use an electric pump with it!

Footstrap inserts

For those who prefer riding with footstraps, Y-shaped strap inserts are present on our Escape Air. Our Takoon neoprene straps are sold separately in the Accessories section. Comfortable and lightweight, they offer excellent support and riding comfort.

Pad EVA

3.5mm: This is the thickness of the EVA pad on the Escape Air. Multi-piece and grooved, it provides even more grip and comfort while sailing, while promising better water drainage on the deck.
