Nouveau boîtier US en carbone moulé
Les Glide V3 sont équipées de notre nouveau boîtier US en carbone moulé, développé en interne par Takoon. Grâce à leur rigidité incomparable, ces nouveaux boitiers apportent une connexion au foil inégalée, une parfaite transmission des efforts et un feeling sans pareil.
Nos nouveaux box de foil sont fabriquées en carbone préimprégné, polymérisé à haute pression et haute température dans un moule en acier. Ce processus permet d’obtenir un boîtier avec des fibres longues de carbone bien compactés, ce qui le rend tout simplement indestructible et ultra rigide.
Grâce à cette construction, si l’on compare nos boitiers carbone aux boitiers classiques comme les Futures, le gain de rigidité et de robustesse est considérable. En effet, généralement fabriqués en plastique injecté chargé avec de la fibre de verre en fibres courtes, les boitiers classiques peuvent présenter de la déformation à l’effort. Sur l’eau, cela se ressent sous forme d’un temps de latence dans la réactivité du foil, que ce soit pour le pumping, pour carver, ou pour les manœuvres. Avec nos nouveaux boîtiers carbone, la transmission des efforts est instantanée et la connexion est ultra rigide.
Plus longs, ces nouveaux boitiers donnent beaucoup plus de liberté de placement de votre foil. Ils viennent en 2 tailles: 33 cm et 38 cm en fonction de la taille de la planche. Ils sont ainsi plus longs de 6 cm et 11 cm que les boîtiers futurs. Ainsi, vous pourrez affiner vos réglages, afin de trouver la position personnelle qui vous convient le plus.
Ils bénéficient aussi d’une double ouverture par rails pour un montage plus rapide : plus besoin de démonter entièrement vos boulons de la platine, il suffit simplement de desserrer les vis, de faire glisser le foil dans les ouvertures et de resserrer les vis et hop, le tour est joué.

Its compact shape offers good maneuverability and intuitive control, perfect for getting familiar with your first maneuvers. The Starter's fuselage is compatible with all front wings from the 2024 range, allowing you to upgrade to higher-performing wings without needing to change your entire foil setup.
Available in three front wing sizes (1600, 1800, and 2000 cm²), the Starter Foil adapts to all beginner body types. Sold as a complete ready-to-sail package, all you need to do is dive in!

Notre Foil Starter est disponible en trois surfaces de frontwing : 1600, 1800 et 2000cm². Ce sont des tailles importantes qui couvrent tous les types de gabarits des riders débutants : les plus légers pourront opter pour le 1600cm², tandis que les plus lourds devront plutôt s’orienter sur le 2000cm².

Shape
The wings of the Foil Starter have a low aspect ratio, a compact shape, and a moderate wingspan. This is the ideal shape for beginners: it provides lift, stability, and reduces the chances of contact with the foil in the water. These wings have a fairly rounded outline with rounded tips, ensuring a safe start and minimizing the risk of injury. However, they still have a fairly high-performance profile: the Starter front wings won't just lift you up and then slow you down as soon as you want to accelerate; they provide good glide and will offer you your first great sensations.
Matériaux
To make the Foil Starter as accessible as possible for beginner riders, we chose to manufacture the front wings and stabilizer primarily out of fiberglass with carbon reinforcements. Fiberglass is indeed cheaper to produce than carbon fiber, and the rigidity it provides at these front wing thicknesses is more than sufficient for a beginner. We avoided making an overly high-end construction to open the doors of our sport to as many people as possible. All other parts of the foil are made of aluminum.
New Connection
To achieve our goals of strength and stability, we redesigned the connection with the front wing. Our new system ensures a solid connection, with perfectly controlled and rigid axes of movement. This new assembly also guarantees extreme durability of the front wings, ideal for riders who want to jump and practice freestyle.
Modularity
Change the wings, keep the rest! The Foil Starter will accompany your progression thanks to its modularity: all the wings and stabs from the 2024 range, X-Glide, XS-Glide, and HS-Glide, are compatible with the fuselage of this pack. In short, from zero to hero while keeping part of your gear!

Complete Pack
When you purchase our Starter foil, you receive a complete set of equipment ready to ride: the Starter front wing, the X-300 stab, the mast, the fuselage, as well as the plate and the mast/fuselage connector. Additionally, a full set of hardware and a wrench are included to help you assemble your foil quickly and get on the water right away. You will also receive a detailed user manual and a specially designed transport bag to carefully store and transport all your foil components.
Mast
The Starter foil is offered in a package with our 85 cm aluminum mast. This mast height is the most versatile for beginners and progression on all types of water. Providing the best balance between affordability and rigidity, this mast ensures excellent connection between the rider and the foil, delivering the most direct sensations possible.
Sacrificial Anode
On contact surfaces between carbon and aluminum, such as between the front wing and the fuselage, there is a potential difference that can lead to aluminum corrosion. To minimize this corrosion, our new V3 fuselage is equipped with a sacrificial anode. This component focuses corrosion on itself, preventing wear on the fuselage and increasing its durability. The sacrificial anode can be easily replaced with a screw, but its lifespan is designed to last for many years.
Stab
The Evo 300 stab is designed for beginners. With a surface area of 300 cm², it is tailored to balance all front wing surfaces of our Starter foil. Its significant average chord and low aspect ratio provide excellent longitudinal stability. The raised, non-sharp winglets enhance lateral stability.
The Evo 300 functions like the small training wheels on a child's bike: it makes the foil as stable and user-friendly as possible, allowing beginner riders to make their first runs with confidence, without having to focus too much on front-to-back or side-to-side balance.
